Description

Build the Skills That Early Years Environments Look For With Our Childcare Course!

Want to work in a nursery but unsure what environments expect from you? Our childcare course fills that gap. England has around 1,620,800 registered childcare places, according to government figures. Behind every one of those places sits an adult who knows what they are doing. Our course covers three foundations. Respecting children as individuals. Understanding how early years settings run. Tracking how young children develop.

In short, you learn what good practice actually looks like before you walk into a nursery.

Why Choose Our Childcare Course?

  1. Zero Experience Needed: A few hours of content aimed squarely at newcomers.
  2. Slots Into Busy Weeks: Read a module on the bus or during a lunch break.
  3. No Expiry Date: Lifetime access, so the material stays yours to revisit.
  4. Marking Happens Instantly: Submit a quiz and see the result straight away.
  5. Certificate Included: A free PDF on passing, with a posted version available too.

Online Childcare Course Overview

Three things run through this course. Respect, routine and how children develop. Our childcare online courses explain what each one means once you are on the floor. No theory for the sake of it. Ofqual does not regulate CPD, so nurseries look to Level 2 and Level 3 for EYFS ratios. Enhanced DBS clearance applies to everyone on site.

First, you look at what respecting a child really means in daily practice. From there, the course covers how UK early years settings are organised and where you fit into a team. Later modules track physical, emotional and language development through the early years.

What You Will Learn From The Childcare Courses Level 1

Each module covers something you will draw on constantly:

  1. Treat every child as an individual with their own needs.
  2. Respect the family background and culture a child comes from.
  3. Value what children say and give them real choices.
  4. Challenge stereotypes and unfair assumptions about children.
  5. Understand how UK early years environments are structured.
  6. Work alongside colleagues and follow defined policies.
  7. Track physical growth and movement milestones.
  8. Follow emotional and language development through early childhood.

Recommended Renewal

Three years, give or take. EYFS guidance gets updated, and what we know about early brain development shifts with it. Go back over childcare training courses on that cycle. Otherwise you end up quoting advice that changed two Ofsted frameworks ago.

Entry Requirements

There are no barriers to joining our childcare online course.

  1. Learners must be 16 at minimum.
  2. Reading and writing English comfortably.
  3. Enough tech confidence to use a browser.
  4. Previous study counts for nothing here.

  2. Grandparents and family carers looking after young children.
  3. Learners comparing childcare courses London providers advertise.
  4. Staff at toddler groups, crèches or holiday schemes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What qualifications do you need in childcare?

  1. Nursery ratios count staff holding Level 2 or Level 3 in childcare. All staff also need an enhanced DBS check.

2. Which course is best for childcare?

  1. Match the course to your goal. NCFE CACHE qualifications carry the most weight with UK nursery employers.

3. Can I get free level 3 early years qualifications?

  1. Adult education funding covers Level 3 early years for some UK learners. Eligibility depends on age, income and prior study.

4. Can I do a childcare course from home?

  1. Yes. Theory works fine online. Ofqual-regulated qualifications add placement hours, so you will need a setting for those.

5. Can I work in a nursery without any qualifications?

  1. Yes, as an unqualified assistant. Ratios are where it bites. Nurseries need enough Level 2 and Level 3 staff on the floor.

Fully helpful, I finally understand the basics without feeling confused. Could’ve used a few more real-life examples, but still very good.
